I can say without a doubt that it has been awhile since I have submitted a blog, or a thought, or a bit of dating knowledge or anything of any value in any way what so ever. But I will say that last time I submitted something, allot has changed. I have moved into a new house, I got a new job, and had my city over run by democrats and became a rent a father. I know that is allot to omit, but let me break it down one by one. The first thing on my list is moving into a new house. Up to this point in my short life away from living at home I have only rented apartments. I will say there is a up and down side. On the upside you can meet some very cool people, and if you feel the need you can get blitzed at a neighbors house and then stumble down the stairs to your bed. On the downside, some people don’t realize it’s community living and treat everyone like an asshole, demand silence, and have there “C” word of a cat crap on your porch.
So renting a large house feels very satisfying, and may I say gives me a sense of pride. Also living in Colorado, there is something called the “Make my day law” and since I’m not one to argue with the law, I will not think twice to pop a cap in a burglars ass, be it of the feline brand or not. The second thing is that I got a new job. I decided that it was time to see what else was out there. The job I found was a night job. All and all it’s not really that bad. I get a weird sense of things at night. Everything is quiet, and when it’s quiet you can let ideas and thoughts flow a bit easier. I figured since winter is coming and I will be working at night and sleeping in the day, I figured I will call this blog tales of a vampire. I guess you can call it irony, but I think I am trying to be cat catchy.
And the last point I want to bring up is the Democratic Nation Convention that took place last week. I did go downtown, I did try to spot a political figure, or a member of the press, but no dice. It seemed that if you lived in Denver you were not allowed to attend any function at said Democratic Convention. The thing that made me go crazy was how many cops were downtown. They prowled the 16th street mall in packs of 10 or more, decked out in full riot gear and giving the old stick eye to anyone of middle Eastern decent, or for that matter anyone with a shade of skin darker then off white. And by stink eye I mean ready to blast someone with there taser or gun filled with rubber bullets. I am not saying that it wasn’t awesome, but really I got the impression that people who lived here were really not welcome. Also Bryan Williams blasted Denver on NBC, by saying that it’s good to see reporters getting out on the tough streets of Downtown Denver.
While I walked downtown I noticed how clean the city looked and how there were no homeless people. As I walked I had a vision in my head of Denver, and if this was how the city was originally suppose to look. With clean streets, in perfect view of the Rockies, with city goes walking the streets, happy, and with smug looks on their faces. With gangs of roaming law enforcement types making sure the colored people don’t step out of line. People from all over the United States coming to our little city and commenting how cute it is that, us, simple country folk, built a city with tall buildings and land marks. How even though we don’t have a Dunken Donuts, we still have Starbucks. And how some day we hope to be like New York or L.A. with it’s fast city life and movie stars. No I think for the time being I will take Colfax with it’s loose woman and Wash Park with it’s……Umm…..loose woman.
